I did a quick search today for an explanation of what exactly a "farmhouse" cookie is and the first result was this blog with the post titled "the perfect chocolate chip cookie". Can you guess what her secret is??

But when was the last time that you wanted to wait 2 days to get your cookie?
When I was about ten, my neighborhood friend and I would spend summers making chocolate chip cookies. I think we ate at least a quarter of the dough without cooking it. I thought, "Someday when I grow up I'm going to make a whole batch of cookie dough and eat the whole thing!" Now, I'm not so sure of eating raw eggs, but I love cookie dough ice cream. That fits the bill for me.
I could do it. I could wait even 36 hours for the perfect chocolate chip cookie. At least I think I could! I'll let you know if I ever get around to trying it!

I like the dough better than the finished cookies, so I don't think it would last 36 hours in my fridge!
