There she is! Our birthday girl is one. And she's wearing her new corduroy romper suit made by her grandma. Isn't she cute?! Now I'd like to get her ears pierced which is something I never thought I'd want to do to a baby, but I look at her and just think, oh! A little sparkle would be perfect! Most of my friends disagree and one even said it would be very Whiskey Tango of me. Whiskey Tango, she explained, means White Trash.

i know what you mean about wanting the earrings, they would look cute. i don't think of it as white trash so much as being a mexican thing to do. my mom always worried about the kids messing with them, getting infections in the ears or swallowing the earrings because they are small. i think casey was in grade school when she had hers done. i was 16.
Happy Birthday Ember!! Eli is almost two weeks older than her!! And I don't think earrings would be WT! I think they'd be cute!
Tell your friend to shove it. Then get earrings for your precious little girl and glorify in her beauty.
